Overview of the 22nd International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics
ICINCO 2025 (22nd International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics) received 158 paper submissions from 42 countries. To evaluate each submission, a double-blind paper review was performed by the Program Committee. After a stringent selection process, 43 papers were published and presented as full papers, i.e. completed work (12 pages/25’ oral presentation), 86 papers were accepted as short papers (51 as oral presentation). These numbers, leading to a “full-paper” acceptance ratio of about 27% and a total oral paper presentation acceptance ratio close to 54%, show the intention of preserving a high-quality forum for the next editions of this conference.
The organizing committee included the ICINCO Conference Chair: Dimitar Filev, Ford Research, United States, and the ICINCO 2025 Program Chairs: Giuseppina Carla Gini, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and Radu-Emil Precup, Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania.
The ICINCO technical program included four invited talks delivered by internationally distinguished speakers, namely:
- Michael Berthold, University of Konstanz, Germany
- Uzay Kaymak, Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands
- Robert Babuska, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands
At the closing session, the conference acknowledged a few papers that were considered excellent in their class, presenting a “Best Paper Award”, “Best Student Paper Award”, “Best Poster Award”, and “Best Industrial Paper Award” for the conference. These awards were conferred to the authors indicated below:
Best Paper Award
“Δ-Y Transformations in Manipulator’s Stiffness Analysis”
Anatol Pashkevich and Alexandr Klimchik
Best Student Paper Award
“Towards Fully Onboard State Estimation and Trajectory Tracking for UAVs with Suspended Payloads”
Martin Saska, Tomas Baca and Martin Jirousek
Best Poster Award
“Automated Process Control for the Beam Gas Curtain Vacuum System at CERN”
- Ferreira, J. Rebelo, L. Zygaropoulos, A. Rocha, C. Pelaez and Liam Luigi Cantu
Best Industrial Paper Award
“High-Precision Contour Tracking for Mobile Manipulators in Large-Scale Industrial Applications”
Christof Roehrig, Daniel Heß and Buu Hai Dang Trinh
Based on the conference registrations, the total amount of the income was around 58.000€ and ICINCO had an expense around 56.300€.
A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer in a LNEE Series Book.
Additionally, another short list of best papers will be invited for publication of extended and revised versions in a special issue of the Springer Nature Computer Science Journal.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, The DBLP Computer Science Bibliography, Semantic Scholar, Engineering Index and Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
After a successful 2025 edition, ICINCO 2026 will be held in Angers, France, from 26 to 28 of October 2026. For more updated information, please visit the conference website https://icinco.scitevents.org
